I just rebuilt a 1988 Bayou 300 and the flywheel was keyed onto the crankshaft. I didn't have to press it on, you just line up the key and torque it on. Unless they changed it in 1990, there should be only 1 way they go on. As for timing, line up the T-Mark on the flywheel, and the mark on the cam sprocket with the headmark as they suggested ....
