The laptop is recognizing there is a battery attached but will not charge it. removing the battery unplugging the AC adapter and holding power button down for 30 seconds before putting the battery back in and trying to see if it charges then. No luck.This problem happens regularly on my 4500 laptop. I am using a Dell battery. The problem happens when I take my usually-docked laptop out of the dock, and then plug it in the next day. I usually see a repeating series of quick flashes: blue, orange, orange, orange, blue (steady for a second), repeat.He was online and it started doing an automatic update. Then he says he saw a blue screen. He got nervous and unplugged the computer. Now when I try to turn it on the power button lights just slowly blink 5 white then 2 orange and just keeps repeating. I cn hear the fan inside the computer so I know there is some power to it..
