Steel path rewards - Steel path was originally added as an optional "challenge mode" for people who wanted more challenge. It also gave some minor incentives and "bragging rights rewards," but nothing too crazy. Steel path has since suffered "incentive slip" to the point where regular mode now only offers half as much progress in the current event.

A lot of people will be farming the Steel Path just for this brand new currency. Steel Essence is an extremely rare drop from the new hard mode, dropping at a whopping 2% rate from eximus units. Clearly, they’re a pain to farm, but fear not. Once you clear all the nodes in a given planet, they reward you with 2 essences. Steel path was originally added as an optional "challenge mode" for people who wanted more challenge. It also gave some minor incentives and "bragging rights rewards," but nothing too crazy. Steel path has since suffered "incentive slip" to the point where regular mode now only offers half as much progress in the current event.
